Our Technology Department is dedicated to ensuring that students and staff have access to the tools, resources, and support they need to excel in today’s digital world.
Our Mission: The mission of the Technology Department is to enhance teaching, learning, and operational efficiency by leveraging cutting-edge technology. We aim to empower students with digital literacy skills and provide staff with innovative tools to support Henderson Collegiate’s high standards of academic excellence.
What We Do:
- Student Support: We provide students with modern devices and software to enhance their learning experiences, including Chromebooks and secure access to digital resources.
- Teacher Resources: Our department equips educators with training and tools to integrate technology into their teaching, fostering engaging and effective instruction.
- IT Support: From troubleshooting devices to maintaining networks, our team ensures seamless operation of all technology platforms across our schools.
- Cybersecurity: Protecting data and ensuring secure online environments for all users is a top priority.
- Innovation: We continuously explore and implement new technologies to enhance learning outcomes and streamline school operations.

Meet the Tech Team!
Ron Bush, Director of Technology has been with Henderson Collegiate since 2016 and has taught Microsoft Office at the middle school and high school and has also taught Computer Science and AP Computer Science at the high school. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a Masters Degree and previously worked at Apple. He also helps to technically produce the school's Parent Pride Nights, Black History Month, Senior Signing Day and Graduation ceremonies.
Henderson Collegiate's Help Desk supports our 1300 K-12 students, 150 staf, and 2500 devices that range from computers to tablets to printers. Since the department’s inception in 2019, we have serviced over 10,000 support tickets helping our staff and students with their technical issues.

Daniel Kellberg joined the Technology Department in 2021 as a Technology Support Specialist after graduating with B.S. in Information Technology from UNC Pembroke. He handles most of the day to day troubleshooting of Chromebooks, copiers, and everything in between. In addition, he helps manage the systems that allow the Technology Department to serve the staff and students of Henderson Collegiate.
