In accordance with North Carolina General Statute § 115C-218.45, all charter schools in the state must implement a fair and open lottery process when the number of applications exceeds the available spots for enrollment. This ensures equal opportunity for all applicants. At Henderson Collegiate, we are committed to upholding this requirement. Our lottery is conducted publicly, and all eligible applications submitted by the deadline are included in the process. The lottery determines the order of admission and creates a waitlist for any remaining applicants. For more information about the NC charter school lottery statute, you can refer to the full text of N.C. Gen. Stat. § 115C-218.45 here.
