Welcome to College Counseling!

Dear Students, Families, and Supporters,

As the Director of College Counseling at Henderson Collegiate, it is my great honor to lead our team in support our students and families in navigating one of the most transformative journeys in their lives: the path to college and beyond. Since the summer of 2010, when I joined the founding staff of Henderson Collegiate, I have been deeply committed to our mission of empowering students to become world-changing problem solvers who are equipped to attend and graduate from college.

From those early days, I’ve watched our school grow, yet our core values remain steadfast: developing character, fostering critical thinking, using data to drive progress, and creating a shared learning environment. These pillars guide everything we do, especially within the Office of College Counseling. Here, our focus is on equipping each student with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to access their best-fit colleges and achieve their dreams.

We celebrate remarkable accomplishments every year. Among them being 100% college acceptance across all of our graduating Prides and numerous prestigious scholarships, including QuestBridge scholars every year since 2019 as well as a Gates Scholar!  A testament to the strength of our students' determination and the shared effort of our staff, families, and community.

My approach to this work is deeply informed by a commitment to equity and closing the achievement gap  ensuring every student feels empowered and supported throughout their journey. In addition to coaching and mentoring our dedicated team of college counselors and alumni persistence advisors, I work closely with families, college admissions representatives, and community partners to create opportunities for our students to thrive. Our goal is not just college acceptance but college persistence and graduation, ensuring our students are prepared to navigate the challenges of higher education and emerge as leaders in their communities.

Whether you're a student, parent, or community member, I encourage you to join us in supporting the remarkable students of Henderson Collegiate as they work to achieve their dreams. Together, we are not only preparing students for college but for lives of purpose, impact, and fulfillment.

Thank you for being a part of the Henderson Collegiate family. Let’s continue striving toward excellence—together!

Warm regards,

Jennifer Rogers
Director of College Counseling
